Yes on Park Smoking Ban

The Board of Supervisors voted 8 to 3 on Tuesday to ban smoking in public parks, making San Francisco the first major American city to embrace such an expansive ban on tobacco use.

'This is the first one that includes all the parks and recreational centers in a county,' said one supervisor, Michela Alioto-Pier, who sponsored the bill.

The bill needs the approval of Mayor Gavin Newsom to become law.

How wonderful! I hate it when I'm in a park and the fresh air turns to cigarette or -- the worst!! -- cigar stench.
